Summarizing what is clear

Home » About » BibleOnWeb Approach » Summarizing what is clear

It is unsurprising that some of what is written in the Bible may not be fully understood given the subject material and its age. In our approach, we humbly accept this and focus on what is the clear message for those who first heard it and, from this, for today.

For this reason, discussion participants work together to agree upon a clear and simple summary of the message given to the original recipients.

In particular groups endeavour to: –

  • Summarize key points, particularly those that relate to the intended message.
  • Understand where “things fit” within the wider picture.
  • Summarize what is revealed about God and human behaviours that please Him.

These summaries can be shared with other groups through BibleOnWeb.
